If you’re new to the Pickering area, or considering changing dentists, we’d love to welcome you to join our practice. With our highly experienced team led by Dr Sarah Glover, we offer all the latest treatments and technologies to ensure your smile stays healthy and looks beautiful. From dental implants and advanced restorations to arranging sedation for nervous patients, advanced AirFlow to invisible braces, you’ll find it all under one roof here at our pretty Pickering practice.
Whether you want a whiter, brighter smile or simply need a family dentist you can trust for your regular check-ups, you can rest assured that our first priority is keeping your smile healthy. We would rather prevent problems than carry out invasive treatment!
As a new patient, you’ll be given a comprehensive first examination so that we can identify any underlying problems. Then we’ll work with you to ensure you enjoy a lifetime of good oral health.
A positive first impression. We extend a warm welcome to all patients even before they arrive at Birdgate Dental. When you get in touch to make your first appointment, our friendly reception team will help schedule a suitable time for your check-up and answer any questions you may have. And when you arrive, you’ll be greeted by pleasant, compassionate staff and an environment that’s inviting and relaxing.
On arrival, you’ll be given a medical questionnaire to fill out, and have an opportunity to adjust any personal details on your file. You’ll be given a full examination by the dentist, which may include digital photographs and X-rays, along with lots of questions about your lifestyle, general health and oral hygiene habits. If a dental problem is identified, we’ll talk it through clearly and discuss all treatment options.
If further dental treatment is required, we will create a clear and costed plan that details clearly everything you can expect from our service. You will have as much time as you need to ask questions and consider your options – including flexible payment plans. You’ll also be advised of the aftercare you can expect, and if you’ll need to take any time off to recover from treatment. Once you have confirmed you’re happy with your treatment plan, treatment can proceed – in many cases during the same appointment, especially if you are in pain.
We won’t send you home after your dental treatment without a clear understanding of what you need to do to look after your teeth and gums while you recover. We will ask you to return for follow-up checks and hygiene appointments, and will aim to see you as soon as possible if you have any concerns, post-treatment.
